Devlog #17 - Weekly Roundup 10-28-2024

I finished up my first low-effort Raylib engine test. It’s all I could do in a busy month - really like 2 weeks - but it’s a pretty good start.

  • Loading a few of my 3D models with textures and animations
  • Third-person player/camera controls (I’m really pleased with this already)
  • The absolute minimum rudiments of combat, versus stationary target dummies
  • Many shortcomings with textures, lighting, shadows and animation
  • Linux only for now

That’s up on Itch and Odysee for anyone who wants to try it for shits and giggles.

Now we’ve gotta expand it into a real game, or two - the vampire sim and turnbased tactics. We’ll do what we can even before I figure out how to properly integrate a physics engine, scripting, etc. My highest priority are a Windows build, turnbased demo, graphics, and fun gameplay.
