Just a cleanup release after Godot 4.2 beta testing.
I wanted to get something out before Christmas, and as such, some things are incomplete:
- Point spending (for stat/skill/spell upgrades) is not implemented.
- The game will crash if you level up (by killing 5 enemies) due to a sloppy last-minute change.
- Spellcrafting is functional but very incomplete.
- You can’t remove components yet (the add component UI is pretty nice though).
- There will be a full summary of effects with various adjustment options, but none of this is implemented yet.
- It isn’t clear in the UI that a spell’s max level is its lowest component level.
- Spells have absolutely no effect in gameplay.
- I haven’t fixed AI movement; NPCs can still launch you into space.
If you’d like to test the Spellcrafting UI, such as it is, open your character screen and click number “1” button next to the Charm spell. You can add components, drag them to reorder, save changes, and cast the spell repeatedly to level up each component (which will be reflected in the component list and maximum spell levels).
You can get a few more spells and components from the spellbooks lying around in the Catacombs level under the tomb. Grab them, open your inventory, right-click to read them, and learn the spells.
